Global Brands: Trends and Opportunities

2025 marks a pivotal moment for Chinese companies expanding overseas. With domestic consumption slowing, globalisation has intensified a focus on strategic market selection and execution.

Chinese sellers now make up a significant share of Amazon’s global active seller base, highlighting the scale and ambition of international expansion across major marketplaces.

At the same time, Chinese brands are gaining measurable traction across Western demographics, supported by improved product quality, compliance readiness, and supply chain sophistication.

For global and Chinese brands, 2025 represents a critical inflection point. With the right strategy, partnerships, and retail positioning, international momentum can be converted into sustained global leadership.

A busy couple of weeks spent meeting with retailer and supplier partners in the US and Canada. At CES 2026, robotics and AI are highly visible, dominating the media narratives emerging from the show. However, visibility does not equate to arrival.

What we are witnessing is preparation: improved systems, enhanced integration, and better demonstrations. There is real progress, but transformation is still on the horizon. The true breakthrough will occur when these machines transition from demonstrations to everyday applications. CES 2026 reflects an industry that is gearing up for that pivotal moment.

In the meantime, CES remains an excellent venue for reconnecting with global brand partners and exploring new opportunities.
